Shubh Vivah Muhurat: November-December Dates and What the Bride Wears
The shubh vivah muhurat dates for November and December 2026 from Drik Panchang, how haldi and mehndi fall around them, and what the bride wears at each.
The shubh vivah muhurat 2026 list for the winter season begins on Saturday 21 November, the day after Dev Uthani Ekadashi. There are four dates in November and seven in December on the Drik Panchang calendar for New Delhi. Fix the date first, then plan the haldi and mehndi that come two or three days before it.
This guide is for brides and families planning a November or December 2026 wedding, and for anyone shopping for the functions around it. It gives the dates with their source and shows how the haldi, mehndi and sangeet usually fall around the wedding day. It then suggests what the bride wears at each one, with sets from the Haldi Jewellery range. For the traditions behind the ceremony's jewellery, read our guide to the cultural significance of traditional haldi jewellery.
The wedding dates in November and December 2026
The dates below are the Hindu marriage muhurats for 2026 published by Drik Panchang, computed for New Delhi. Families searching for the shaadi muhurat in November 2026 will find the same list under other names, such as vivah muhurat or shubh vivah dates. Other panchangs and other cities list a few different December days. Confirm the exact day and the lagna time with your family pandit before you book anything.
November 2026
The shaadi muhurat in November 2026 falls on four days:
- Saturday 21 November
- Tuesday 24 November
- Wednesday 25 November
- Thursday 26 November
The season opens on 21 November because Dev Uthani Ekadashi falls on Friday 20 November 2026. The first nineteen days of November sit inside Chaturmas, which the panchang marks as prohibited for weddings.
December 2026
The wedding dates in December 2026 come in two runs:
- Wednesday 2, Thursday 3, Friday 4, Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 December
- Friday 11 and Saturday 12 December
Some lists add 1 and 13 December and leave out the 5th and 6th. Drik Panchang and the two other lists we compared all agree on 2, 3, 4, 11 and 12 December. From 17 December the panchang marks a prohibited solar month, so the muhurats stop until the new year.
Why October has no wedding dates
October 2026 has no shubh marriage date at all. Drik Panchang marks the first week as a prohibited solar month. It marks the rest of the month as days when Venus, or Shukra, is set or weak. The whole month also sits inside Chaturmas, which ends with Dev Uthani Ekadashi. A family looking at an autumn wedding is really looking at the last ten days of November or the first half of December.
How the functions fall around the wedding date

Most families hold the haldi and the mehndi in the two or three days before the wedding. The sangeet comes the evening before, or on the same evening as the mehndi. A 21 November wedding, for example, usually means a mehndi on the 19th or 20th. The haldi is then on the morning of the 20th or the 21st. The reception follows the wedding on the same night or a day or two later.
That order matters for shopping. The haldi and mehndi sets are worn first, in daylight, with turmeric paste and wet henna around. The wedding and reception sets are worn in the evening, under lights, with the heaviest outfit of the week. Buy the daytime sets with comfort and colour in mind, and the evening sets with the outfit in mind.
With the dates so close together, order every set well before the first function, and try each one on with its outfit at home. Delivery depends on where you are, so ask early through the product page and its Customise your order button. A light evening set that moves between the sangeet and the reception is worth choosing early for that reason. The Blossom Glitz pastel set pictured here is one.
What the bride wears at the haldi

The haldi is a daytime function in a yellow outfit, with turmeric paste applied to the bride's face, arms and feet. Haldi ceremony jewellery is therefore light and in a colour that stands apart from yellow. Artificial flowers, shell and pearl suit it because they do not wilt in the heat. Our guide to haldi jewellery for the bride goes piece by piece.
A yellow set can still work when a second colour breaks it up. The Bridal Bloom yellow shell set pictured here pairs yellow flowers with white cowrie shells and pearl strands. Its page lists the material as shell and the colour as yellow, and says plainly that "shells are real". The page also answers that the set is "designed to be lightweight and comfortable" for the haldi function. Its care note is simple: wipe the shells and flowers with a soft, dry cloth after use, and keep the set away from moisture.
Wear the maang tikka and earrings after your hair is done, and keep the haathphool for the photographs rather than for the paste.
What the bride wears at the mehndi

Green is the mehndi colour, and the bride's hands are the centre of attention. The pieces that matter are the earrings, the necklace and anything that frames the henna without touching it while it dries.
The Lush Green pearl and shell set pictured here is green thread work with white pearl drops. Its page lists the material as pearl, shell and beaded. The page says the necklace and earrings "will look unbothered when your palms are covered with mehndi", and that the set "feels light". Store it, as its care note says, in a dry, airtight container, away from water and perfume.
If you want a haathphool at the mehndi, put it on only after the henna has dried, or wear it at the sangeet instead.
Sangeet, wedding and reception: lighter or fuller

Sangeet jewellery for the bride has to stay on through an evening of dancing. The Blossom Glitz set above has pastel pink and blue flowers with small crystal drops. Its page describes it as lightweight and suited to yellow or white sarees and mehndi outfits. The Floral Festivity beaded set is multicolour beadwork, listed as beaded on its page. It suits an evening where every colour in the room is welcome.
For the wedding, the heaviest outfit of the week needs a fuller set. Reception jewellery for the bride can be the same set or a lighter one. The Pink Pearl set with kaliras pictured here is pink beaded flowers with cowrie shells and pearls. The pieces in the photograph are a choker, drop earrings, a maang tikka and haathphool. Its page lists the material as shell and the colour as pink. The page also describes gold-plated floral pieces and kaliras, which this photograph does not show. It notes that, being shell, the set is light on the ears.
Pick the wedding set before the haldi and mehndi sets, so the daytime looks sit beside it rather than compete with it.
What to check before you order
Do this on the product page, because it differs from set to set.
- The photographs. Look at every photo: the pieces on the model are the pieces you get, and some sets are shown on an outfit in their own colour.
- The title and description. Read the Material and Color fields under Product Details, then the description, to see which pieces the set includes.
- Your own outfit. Hold the product photos beside each function's outfit in daylight. The haldi yellow, the mehndi green and the wedding outfit each change how a colour reads.
- The pieces included. If you want a maang tikka, haathphool or kaliras, check that the description lists it.
- Customise your order. Use this button on the product page to ask about a colour or a piece for a particular function.
Where to look in our collections
Shop the wedding day from the wedding collection. The haldi and mehndi sets are in our haldi mehndi jewellery sets for brides, and more floral designs are in the flower jewellery collection.

On the Drik Panchang calendar for New Delhi there are four: Saturday 21, Tuesday 24, Wednesday 25 and Thursday 26 November 2026. The first comes the day after Dev Uthani Ekadashi, when the wedding season reopens. Confirm the lagna time for your city with your pandit.
Are there any wedding muhurats in October 2026?
No. October 2026 has no shubh marriage date on the New Delhi panchang. Drik Panchang marks its first week as a prohibited solar month and the rest as days when Venus, or Shukra, is set or weak. The season reopens on 21 November.
When is Dev Uthani Ekadashi in 2026?
Dev Uthani Ekadashi 2026, also called Prabodhini or Devutthana Ekadashi, falls on Friday 20 November. It marks the end of Chaturmas, and the first wedding muhurat of the winter season comes the next day, on Saturday 21 November.
Do the December 2026 wedding dates differ between panchangs?
Yes, a little. Drik Panchang lists 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 11 and 12 December for New Delhi, while some other lists add 1 and 13 December and leave out the 5th and 6th. The three lists we compared all agree on 2, 3, 4, 11 and 12 December.
What does the bride wear at the haldi before a November wedding?
A lightweight floral set in a colour that stands apart from the yellow outfit: a necklace, earrings and a maang tikka. Keep the haathphool for the photographs. Artificial flowers, shell and pearl do not wilt, and the product pages say to wipe them with a soft, dry cloth after use.
Can the same set be worn at the haldi and the mehndi?
Yes, if it is artificial, shell, pearl or beaded rather than fresh flowers. Choose a colour that works against both the yellow haldi outfit and the green mehndi outfit. Wipe it with a soft, dry cloth between the two functions, as the product pages advise.
