Haldi Bangles and Bracelets: What to Wear on Your Wrists

Aditya Kumar•October 26, 2026

Haldi bangles and bracelets: which of our sets include them, matching wrist pieces to your outfit, and when to wear them around haathphool and mehndi.

Haldi bangles are usually light floral pieces that match the rest of your set, not heavy metal or glass. In our shop they come as part of a set: 12 of our 90 sets include a bangle or bracelet. Choose one that repeats the necklace's flowers, keep it light, and plan it around your haathphool and mehndi.

This guide is for a bride, or her family, deciding what to wear on the wrists at haldi. Turmeric paste is applied to the hands and arms, so the wrist is the busiest part of the look. For choosing the other pieces, read our guide on how to choose haldi jewellery.

What haldi bangles and bracelets are like

Haldi wrist jewellery is made for one bright morning. Instead of gold or glass, it uses the same light materials as the rest of a haldi set: artificial flowers, beads, shell, resin or acrylic. That keeps it comfortable, and it means the bangle matches the necklace and earrings exactly.

In our shop, wrist pieces come inside a set rather than on their own. Across the 90 sets, 12 descriptions name a bangle or bracelet. Many more include a haathphool instead: a hand piece that joins a ring to a wrist band with chains or bead strands. Our descriptions mention a haathphool in 67 sets, so if a set has no bangle, it often still dresses the wrist.

The words in the descriptions tell you what to expect:

  • A pair of bangles, or a bracelet for each wrist, means both wrists match.
  • A bracelet or a bangle, singular, means one wrist piece, usually worn on the hand that shows most in photographs.
  • A haathphool with a ring and bracelet means the wrist band and the hand piece come joined.

Sets that include bangles or bracelets

These sets name their wrist pieces in the description.

  • Yellow and pink, two bangles. The Yellow-Pink Acrylic Floral set is made with acrylic and includes a maang tikka, long drop earrings, a necklace, two haathphool and two bangles. It is one of the fullest sets for the hands. Its page says the flowers stand out against a yellow haldi outfit or a pastel lehenga.
  • Multicolour flowers, a bracelet for each wrist. The Bridal Blossom set, pictured at the top, has pink, red, white, yellow and green flowers with small pearl clusters, and a bracelet for each wrist. Its page says the mix stands out against a mustard or yellow haldi outfit.
  • Pink and shell, one bangle. The Pink Blossom and Cowrie Shell set, pictured in this section, sets pink rose-shaped flowers among white shells, with a choker, a ring and a single bangle.
  • Pink roses, two bracelets. The Bloom Effulgence set has pink roses among small yellow, white and lilac buds, with two bracelets and a long layered necklace. Its page says the pink stands out against a pale yellow haldi outfit.

Matching bangles to your outfit and set

Wrist pieces sit against the sleeve or the bare arm, and close to the turmeric, so colour matters more than size.

  • Yellow outfit. Choose pink, white or multicolour bangles, so the wrists do not disappear into the sleeve. A yellow and pink set gives both: one colour that matches and one that stands out.
  • Pale or white outfit. Choose a brighter set, such as multicolour flowers, so the wrists carry some colour.
  • Long sleeves. A single bangle or a haathphool shows better than a bracelet hidden under the cuff.
  • Repeat one element. A bangle that repeats the necklace's flower or shell ties the look together, which is why a set's own bangles are the easiest match.

Keep the number of wrist pieces low. Two light bangles, or one bangle and a haathphool, look more deliberate than a stack. Hands are in most haldi photographs, so a clean wrist reads better than a crowded one.

Bangles, haathphool and mehndi

If your mehndi is on the same day as your haldi, or the next, plan the wrists around the henna. Our product pages advise putting the haathphool on only after your mehndi has dried, and the same sense applies to bangles: a band on a wet design smudges it.

A simple order works for most brides:

  1. Wear the necklace, earrings and maang tikka first.
  2. Keep the wrists bare while the turmeric is applied, if you can, so the paste does not settle into the flowers.
  3. Put the bangles or haathphool on afterwards for photographs.

After the ceremony, wipe the wrist pieces first, because they collect the most paste. Follow the care steps on the product page: most of our descriptions say to wipe with a soft cloth and to keep the pieces away from water and perfume.

What to check before you order

  1. The photographs. Look for a photo of the set being worn, so you see how the bangles sit on the wrist.
  2. The title and description. The description lists every piece. Check whether it says bangles, a bracelet or a haathphool, and whether there are one or two.
  3. Your own outfit. Hold the set against the sleeve in daylight.
  4. The pieces included. If you want both wrists to match, look for "a pair of bangles" or "a bracelet for each wrist".

Where to look in our collections

Browse the haldi ceremony collection and open each set's description to see which pieces it includes for the wrists.

Final thoughts

Haldi bangles are part of the set, not a separate purchase. Choose a set whose wrist pieces repeat the necklace, keep them light, and put them on after the turmeric and the mehndi.

Quick checklist

  • Check the description for bangles, a bracelet or a haathphool.
  • Look for a pair if both wrists should match.
  • Choose a colour that stands out from your sleeve.
  • Keep the wrists light: two pieces at most.
  • Put wrist pieces on after the mehndi dries.

Frequently Asked Questions

What bangles are worn for haldi?

Light floral bangles and bracelets that match the rest of the set, made with artificial flowers, beads, shell, resin or acrylic. Heavy gold or glass bangles are usually kept for later functions.

Do you sell haldi bangles on their own?

No. Our wrist pieces come as part of a set: 12 of our 90 sets include a bangle or bracelet, and many more include a haathphool. For a different piece, use the Customise your order button on the product page.

Which colour bangles suit a yellow haldi outfit?

Pink, white or multicolour, so the wrists stand out from the sleeve. A yellow and pink set gives one matching colour and one contrasting one.

Should I wear bangles and a haathphool together?

You can, but keep it light: one bangle and one haathphool on a wrist is enough. Many of our sets join the haathphool and the wrist band in one piece.

When should I put on bangles if my mehndi is the same day?

After your mehndi has dried, so the bands do not smudge the design. Wear the necklace and earrings first.
